Purple House Preschool
WELCOME!
Hello there! I live in a Purple House! What a charming and delightful place to have a preschool!
Here at the Purple House Preschool, I am excited to get to know your child, love them, and teach them many things! I believe we need to start early in order to help children learn and navigate their world. My focus is to provide a wide variety of fun and educational activities in a loving, home-run preschool setting. I promote learning, socialization, cooperation, self-awareness, self-control, and helpfulness on top of academic instruction, in a positive first school experience for ages 2-5.
Educational learning (the ABC's and 123's,) is important in early childhood but the social skills children gain during the early childhood years--through the slow, simple processes of playing and interacting, engaging with their families, and paying attention to the world around them--will serve them much better and for much longer. BOTH are important and I will teach them BOTH. I can't wait to meet you and start teaching the children in your life!
One of my favorite quotes:

"Don't become preoccupied with your child's academic ability but instead teach them to sit with those sitting alone. Teach them to be kind. Teach them to offer help. Teach them to be a friend to the lonely. Teach them to encourage others. Teach them to think about other people. Teach them to share. Teach them to look for the good. This is how they will change the world."

My husband, Seth, and I met at church and we have four children, two boys and two girls. We have lived in Washington, Utah, North Carolina, and now Montana. We absolutely LOVE it here in this beautiful state and we don't plan on moving again. We are here to stay!

I chose ECE because I love the little ones and teaching them the basics. I love watching their eyes light up as they get excited about learning and discovering their world. I have experience working at Hellgate Elementary in the Special Needs Preschool, but am now fulfilling a life-long dream of having my own preschool in my home!
